Cześć wszystkim (Hey all!)
From planning to have one of the best Polish Festivals, with the best Polish music in our country this year, to now, no festivals happening at all… That’s been one of many struggles with our decision regarding the 2020 festival. Our committee has been working extra hard over the last year bringing this Polish Festival back onto its feet with some of the best bands available. We are a non-profit organization, meaning our money goes back into the surrounding communities. Our decision is extremely hard because what we do this year, REALLY impacts the Boyne Falls School for 2021. The Boyne Falls School has sent the graduating class to Hawaii for their senior trip for a very long time. One of the main ways the high school classes raise money for these trips are by selling food at the festival. These classes spend countless hours preparing for the Polish Festival; from their food booths to helping set up and tear down the events. Raising enough money for these trips will be very challenging without this revenue. This is the biggest reason we are struggling with the choice to not have a festival. But, on top of this, there are many other donations that will not make it to those who are in need. We also want to ensure our festival is here for years to come, to celebrate our heritage and our community spirit. It is with great sadness that, after taking everything into consideration, we will not see all of you until 2021. Our number one priority is the HEALTH and SAFTEY of our community. We hope everyone is well and we cannot wait to SEE YOU ALL August 5, 6, 7 and 8, 2021!
